The Western Electric ‘Weco’ valve was distributed in the UK with the prefix 4 as in this example of valves.
They were used in small sets or hearing aids as such.
This 4215A is fitted with a British B4 base whereas the Wecovalve had a miniature pea-nut base that fitted into a small bayonet base you can see the example here.
