Description
The Mazda PP3/250 was the answer to the Marconi Osram PX4.
Though both valves are equivalent, the Mazda PP3/250 were made in limited quantity with care and patented design.
The filament of a Mazda PP3/250 is made of a single wire and oxide , it lays inside the Anode and it is made of wire going up and down thus creating inverted V shape.
The Mazda PP3/250 is therefore a directly heated power triode primarily for use in the output stage of radio and also used in Push-Pull amplifier.
Filament voltage 4
Filament current 1 Amp
Maximum Anode Voltage 300
Mutual Conductance 6.5
Grid Biad -37
Anode Current 48mA
Early version of Mazda PP3/250 with chrome plate and thin top mica, something to die for!
Both PP3/250 tested at
41mA 100% emission
42mA 100% emission
