Described as a powerful audio beam tetrode, it was used for audio amplifiers and modulated transmitters as well as in large radiogram and guitar amplifiers
The 6L6(G) saw the light in the mid 30s.

Plate is ribbed and robust and it is held steady by an arched rod.
