Description
This section shows four interesting early made R type valves by the most important makers back those days.
On the left a Marconi type R gold/amber tinted with cylindrical anode circa 1922. You can clearly see the amber envelope is a classic of phosphorus gettering; comes with metal base, this is by far one of the rarest valve on this website.
Another interesting valve next to the Marconi is the R type made by San Francisco based Moorhead. This is a R type receiving and transmitting valve light amber colour circa 1921.
R type made by BTH British Thompson Houston boasting a dark amber phosphorus gettering, top pip, metal base circa 1922 it was one of the first made by BTH and comes with original box!
